Re: 2000 Volvos S80 misfire
Double check the connectors at cylinders 4 and 5. I believe those are the two that are easy to connect to the wrong spot.

Re: 2005 S80 T6 Transmission slips in 1st after a stop
Dexron is the correct fluid.
Could be this:

But as any transmission shop will tell you, you need a rebuild as well.

Re: 2002 S80 T6 2.9 twin turbo codes P0443&P0497
P0443 -- ECM-421B -- Evaporative emission system (EVAP) valve -- Signal missing So it looks like you need to inspect the wiring to the canister purge valve, and check the valve itself. As per: http://forums.swedespeed.com/showthread.php?166473-OBDII-to-Volvo-Code-Conversion-List and http://en.bsr.se...

Re: 1999 volvo s80 no start
IIRC, the entrance to the car's CAN bus is through the CEM. If that module has failed, you will be unable to start the car. I'm going to see if I can find a diagram of the power supply to the CEM. It's possible it's just the fuse to the CEM killing the CAN bus and preventing the start. It looks like...

Re: 2002 S80 model buying advice?
That six speed also has issues that can occur in as little as 20k. The S80 never used a viscous coupling for AWD, and is just as prone to collar gear issues as any P2. The electronics are just a finicky as any P2 and require as well as support the same level of diagnostics as any P2. They also have ...

Re: 1999 volvo s80 no start
You should check the car with Vida/dice. It could be the cem that is faulty and not communicating the immobilizer codes to the ecm and vice versa. But without a high level Volvo capable scan tool, it's tough to tell.

Re: 1999 S80 Brake Fluid Change
Can you still buy brake fluid of different colors, say yellow & blue but both are dot4 to help you know when you flushed out all the newish fluid the second time around, before it is actually all discolored? Ate Super Blue has been "outlawed" in the United States. Here's a link: http:...

Re: 99 S80 T6 will not crank and injectors aren't working
Did you use DICE/VIDA or a generic OBDII reader? If generic, there might be codes set that it cannot read. AFAIK, the injectors are grounded by the ECU and a fuse on the other side. Have you checked with a diode kit or a scope to see if the injectors are indeed not firing? If they aren't, the ECU mi...
