Hi all - My 2005 S40 overheated this evening. At least, the engine acted like it was overheating - with steam and coolant/water flying out of the reservoir top. However, the temperature gauge on the dash never went past midway and no warning lights went on. I only figured it out from the strong smel...

I also have a 2005 S40 that has climate control issues. Often times, it blows wicked hot out of the drivers side even with the a/c on. It usually happens at startup. I adjust the temperature knob way up and then back down and that seems to "reset" it so that I can get cool air (or whatever...
