Replacing Fuel Pump 2005 v50 AWD

Just wondering if replacing the fuel pump on a 2005 v50 with all wheel drive requires dropping the subframe, gas tank or both or is there is a door/hatch... Thanks

1998 s70 t5 EVAP P0445

Hell All... I'm trying to eliminate a check engine light on a 1998 volvo s70 t5... The code is PO445. I've done the usual.. replaced the gas cap and repaired some questionable vacuum lines under the hood... I then went to check the j-hose by the passenger rear tire...... I slide under the car and it ...

1998 v70xc Stalling Drop in Idle while Driving

Hello all..

My 1998 volvo xc has been exhibiting the following symtoms:

Stalling at low idle
and drop off in idle while driving

I get a whole bunch of engine codes... MAF, IAC, Coolant temp sensor, EVAP, Turbo...
Different codes in various combinations... So it could be one all or none...

I have ...

Re: 1998 v70xc Connectors to Fuel pump

Hi Lee... No problem. Hopefully it will help someone else. To break he nipple off I just gripped as far down as I could on the connector and nipple with a pair of channellock pliers and then slowly rocked them back and forth until it snapped off.

Re: 1998 v70xc Connectors to Fuel pump

Just figured I would close this post: I solved the problem by breaking off the nipple from the fuel pump assembly (what the heck, it needed to be replaced). I was then able to remove the broken nipple from the fuel line with a fuel line disconnect tool

The fuel pump was replaced and the car ...

1998 v70xc Connectors to Fuel pump

I think I'm on the verge of a problem. I'm replacing the fuel pump on my 1998 volvo v70xc. There was a lot of rust on and around the connectors. I doused both connectors with PB Blaster and using a pair of bent needle nose pliers I was able to lift the plastic connector and remove the line on the ...

98 Volvo v70xc Fuel Pump Wires

I'm on the process of replacing the fuel pump in my 98 v70xc. I opted for the cut method and noticed that most posts on the subject recommend cutting the old wires and splicing them to the new fuel pump assembly. Is it possible to use the old wire to snake the new one to the connection point in the ...

Update. Problem solved. I found a hairline crack in the distributor. Just a reminder to always pay close attention to the basics.
