Re: 850 Whirring/humming noise
Thanks all for the input, although it's a constant harmonic type noise! it's not a -woo-woo sort of deal it's like a loud harmonic whine that vibrates throughout the car! Wheel bearings are certainly getting old but there's no major play!?

Re: 850 Whirring/humming noise
Thanks for the input, didn't consider the wheel bearing! It's just odd that it coincided with me replacing the control arms.

850 Whirring/humming noise
I replaced my control arms and now a noise has started to occur that I can't for the life of me figure out.. I tried searching everywhere but no one is having the same symptoms as me. It's a whirring kind of noise as if the tires have cupping, however, my tires do not have cupping. Could this be my ...

Nevermind*
Although I noticed some uneven wear on the picture there, try sanding down your hub surface and leave out the little screw that holds the rotor in place, you don't really need it, and it may contribute to the uneven wear.

Re: 1998 V70 turbo reliability?
I always wonder why people doubt the reliability of these cars. That was my main reasoning for buying one in the first place. And it's a good choice to go pre-99 if you can, that may be just a suspicion of mine since Ford "took over" in 98 but I don't think quality really deteriorated unti...

Re: 1997 855 Sway links
Thanks for the video Rob, although I am familiar with the replacement procedure. I guess I'll just have to try again. Fun fact - Those thin bicycle wenches are called "cone nut wrench(s)" Typically used to adjust hub tightness on loose-pack bearing wheel hubs! http://www.parktool.com/uploa...

Re: 1997 855 Sway links
I have bicycle wrenches I used to work on bikes for a long time I remember trying to use one but I can't remember if it fit in the space provided on the strut mount.
I would like a bigger hex to hold because then I can use my impact gun to keep them tight as heck.

1997 855 Sway links
I was just wondering if anyone knew of a replacement part that had a hex part on the stud so you can tighten the links to maximum potential, I can't get a wrench to stay tight on the small style ones that only allow for a single wrench position. for example, what I would want is something like this:...

Re: 1995 850T5-R Short question on Injectors
My suggestion was simply because that would be the easiest route. they flow a little more than the turbo ones I think. I have an extra set that needs o-rings if you were ok with getting new ones I would ship them to you for the cost of postage. (these are not mine, the picture is just reference as t...
