Re: Tailgate Strut replacement notes '97 850 GLT
August 19, 2010 Great information. The photos and instructions were much appreciated. Here's an addendum from my experience installing the strut last weekend: The strut does not just snap off/on with finger pressure, at least mine didn't. And it was hard to pry loose. After wrestling with it and fin...

1995 Volvo 850 wagon seat heater thermostat
Thanks very much for all of your responses. It's been cold and icy here but when things warm up a bit, I'll get to work on the seat. Found out I had a stuck thermostat (engine) and that's why virtually no interior heat, so I can wait awhile now on warming the seat. About the recall on the seat: I ca...

Just got the word that the driver-side seat heater thermostat is bad on my 850 wagon. Cost to repair would be $72.50, parts and labor. So I'd be interested to know if anyone else got theirs to work by tilting the seat and pulling out the disk? I could by one Michellin tire instead of paying for that...

95 Volvo 850 wagon tailgate gas strut replacement
Well, it's live and learn. The old Volvo gas struts popped right off. Wow, I thought, this will be a snap. When I tried to put the Ebay-purchased after-market struts on, I used everything from two Visegrips and a two-foot pry bar to get the new ones on, risking window breakage when the tools slipped...

Replacing the sensor fans/flashing LED AC/htr console lights
To MadeinJapan and Steve, Thanks to both of you for your very thorough instructions on getting to the fans. Now to blank out some time from art projects to try the code read/delete procedure to see if removing the lint plugs from both sensor orifices did the trick. If not, I will be looking into rep...

850 Volvo temp sensors above driver and passenger sides
Hi and thanks for your help with other members about this problem. I removed the grab bars but found yellow plastic clips inside so I couldn't see the sensor/motors, except through the vent holes. Cleaned out the lint from both, but the lights are still flashing, even though the AC/htr system works ...
