Re: Brake squeal while turning at low speeds
Hi, I very recently had this exact same thing happen to my s60. I took it all apart and couldn't find anything, I had also just had the wheel bearing done as well as new discs and pads (mine weren't OEM) All I could think of was getting a good lot of brake cleaner on both sides of the Disc and I als...

D5 injector swap
Hi,
Got noisy (ticking) injectors, from a little investigation I would guess at two on pot 1-2 so now I'm looking at replacing.
My question is which injectors can I fit to replace? Do the have to be from a 2002 (my cars year) or can the be from a later model? If so which?
Thanks, chris

Re: 2000 Volvo V70R Motor has Zero compression
If valves bent at the very least it will be head off again, the full extent of damage can't be found till that's done, however no compression on any cylinders would indicate a big screw up. Valves replaced, seals replaced, potential piston damage. Again, that's speculation, but make sure you get him...

Re: 2000 Volvo V70R Motor has Zero compression
I agree with diff lock, if he couldn't set the timing properly and was rotating either the crank or the cams to try and re-align (when re assembled) he could've bent valves. It really doesn't take much to bend a valve so it doesn't seat properly

Re: Engine Flush?? 2002 S60 2.4t
Personally, I would just buy a bottle of engine flush. That way it should do exactly what it says on the tin, plus comes with instructions so you know your doing it right.
I can't however comment on the ATF theory because I've never heard of it
Hope that helps (a bit)

Re: Wheel bearing or just crap tyre?
Oh and furthermore I had the suspect alloy repaired at the same garage who found that the last people that fitted the tyre didn't even attempt to clean the bead up.

Re: Wheel bearing or just crap tyre?
Hi, did the swap was nice and straight forward, original bearing was completely FUBAR. However The bolt to hold the cv in snapped with about 10nm of force... So resulted in removing the cv to to get it out and the old bolt being re used.... Needless to say I wasn't happy with an OEM part but such is...

Re: Wheel bearing or just crap tyre?
Hi thanks for all the info, it's OEM bolts and a LUCAS bearing. Just found out my alloys are porous so have to watch the pennies now.

Re: Wheel bearing or just crap tyre?
Right well I'll have to go back to euro car parts cos they only gave me the bearing and hub not the full kit (inc bolts) like the should've done. Did you have enough room to fit a torque wrench behind the hub to TTY the bolts? Should they also be loctited? Just making sure I have all the parts I nee...
