Just bought this used. Have driven about 200 miles and this evening the CEL popped on. Pulled the code,p219A. I didn’t see anything on here referencing this code.

The cleaning didn’t work. I bought a “good” used one. Cleaned that one too. Connected the 9v and it worked. Pugged it in and the ECC, Still nothing. Not sure what else to do. Any other thoughts ?

Round of applause to Misha for suggesting correct answer. Just for my education: i thought that immobilizer problem usually should be accompanied with a immobilizer(key) light on the dash. So older Volvo's dont have that light i guess and show the issue with flashing hazard lights?

Got the alarm to reset via door locking unlocking. It tools about a dozen attempts, but it worked.
Vehicle started. Now to get the heater core replaced and the car cleaned up.

Another important factor that might help us: is it "crank no start" vs " no crank" situation. If your starter motor engages and turns the engine at a normal rate/speed, but your engine is not starting- i would suspect low compression vs no spark/fuel...

Can you please clarify the events.
Was the car starting via boost prior to instalation of new baterry?
If not, I would suspect that some ground or harness is not connected. You mentioned that it stayed a long time and you were working on it.
I would remove the baterry and try to perform "hard ...
