Re: AOD/ DEM quit today
Isn’t that the truth! I like to give my P2’s plenty of pillow talk & massaging and it seems like I’m always working on them! It may be time for me to start treating them like an old Ford 7.3 - gallon low on oil & a wash whenever it rains. What? You check oil level in your truck? =) When I drain it!...

Re: AOD/ DEM quit today
Thank you so much for posting this. This solidifies my suspicions about the non-Volvo AOC/DEM pumps. I don’t think the Dorman pumps even cost that much less, maybe $50 or so less? Add this to the “only buy the Volvo part...” list. There’s just so many of these parts that you just can’t stray away fr...

Re: S60 2.5T downpipe vs. R downpipe (are they the same?)
For what it’s worth, the Mototec downpipe is very nice & has a removable catalytic converter (3-piece DP, nice V-band connections). Snabb & Revolve also make a nice low-cost 1-piece DP. I have found on both R & 2.5T (healthy) engines that with any of these DP’s you will need to run a downstream defo...

This is the concept.

Re: S60 2.5T downpipe vs. R downpipe (are they the same?)
I also am unable to see any discernible difference between my R & 2.5T downpipes. I’m willing to bet they are the same. Fit-wise, ordering an aftermarket “high flow” DP (catted or catless) is the same 2.5T vs R. That being said. It’s pretty safe to say there would be no gain from installing a stock ...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
I think I will get new bleeders, I have to order brake lines now anyways and can't find Pentosin 202 locally for my future steering flush so it looks like another order is coming together! An old mechanic once showed me how to use an air hammer on the side of the caliper casting while simultaneousl...

Re: 2002 Ocean Race for salvage
It was essentially an appearance package that included 4C suspension. Nothing special about them other than the 18” Atlantis wheels, cheap badges, 4C shocks & blue paint. The actual Ocean Race wagons had a goofy leather/cloth seat combination. Extremely hard to get clean if soiled. The few Ocean Rac...

Re: Need advise about 4C service Required Message
You can replace them with standard XC70 shocks. Either live with the 4C Service message or I’m sure the ECM/4C module could be spoofed.

Re: Need advise about 4C service Required Message
4C Service message almost always means one or more of the “electronic shocks” has gone bad. My guess is if one feels soggy it’s probably that one. Could be a cut wire as well. Routing of the 4C wires is extremely important. Very easy for them to get pinched or rubbed by spinning components. You can’...
