Aw crap! I have to go to the dealer for the light? I posted a while back that my light came on with a code; it meant that a wire was corroded or had broken. I replaced my dash while the light was still on. If I correct the driver side wire prob, will all this matter? Or do I still have to go to ripo...

MIJ, please let me answer this  . The flap is on a hinge, if it isn't, it deploys toward the ceiling of the car, away from the face. There is a metal plate behind the soft cover that is your dashboard with the word SRS on it. No, it won't break into pieces. You would, if I'm guessing correctly...

It pops out from behind the cover that's curling up. From the bottom, as the hinge is on the top, if my memory serves me correctly (it could be the other way, but I don't think so). If the flap, or cover separated, I would think it would hit you square in the face or chest, which would not be good, ...

I just replaced the whole dashboard. Got tired of trying to find a solution for a problem that shouldn't be to begin with. Much easier and cheaper than buying the plate for me. (I have a parts car.) Why make a cover that's prone to shrinkage? Just one of those things that I just don't get, I guess. ...

You know, I drove my 850 about a year until I bought a MAF, and I didn't notice any change either. Of course, starting in the cold was a PITA, but summertime was pretty good. I have since replaced my MAF, but I haven't gotten my PCV fully clean, which is the byproduct of running without a MAF for so...

93 850 non turbo
Thanks a lot, its 7 degrees outside, I ain't messin' around right now. Just to clarify, for myself and others, by definition, what does crankcase plugged mean? Is it the PCV system? Or something else? BTW, this probably happened (clogged) while driving w/o a MAF for months at a time. Thanks again. I...

Crankcase plugged - how to clean
Finally bought a MAF, now I'm running really rich. Just came back from dealer......my crankcase is plugged. I've seen the posts on the flame trap, throttle cleaning and PCV solutions, now if someone could explain a fix to this money trap that they set up for unwilling customers to fall in, I would a...
