Worn Leather - Cover or Replace?

Hello, My '98 V70 T5 stick has 110,000 miles on it, and the wear on the leather upholstery is showing. Particulary the driver's seat and armrest, both of which may split open in the next year. Does anyone know of aesthetically tolerable seat and armrest covers for these cars? I think redoing the uph...

1998 v70 t5 5-speed

Runs with a little hesitation on the highway. It feels like rough road, but disappears when the clutch is depressed. Once after a half hour of highway driving it started balking on a secondary road. I thought it would stall out, but it hung on. Once while braking hard the Ser-vice light came on, the...

Thanks MIJ. I called him yesterday and he will redo the wheel. Also, dash is loose at bottom by the door, the courtesy light there is out, there's black rubber coming out from under the hood. Also, there's a new noise: when I take my foot off the gas there's a clunking sound from the front end. It's...

OK, got the car back today after $1,106.11 bill was paid for evaporator/accumulator/hose replacement. My mechanic didn't charge to replace the heater core, blower motor, and thermostat besides. (I supplied the parts). Everything seems to be working. Only problem is, he put the steering wheel back on...

Ozark recommended changing the heater core at same time as evaporator. Does anyone know the cause of intermittent fan noise? Sounds a little like baseball cards in bicycle spokes. Comes and goes.

MIJ Thanks, you are right. I will do the PCV when the weather warms up, along with struts and shocks (car's just a little soft right now). Still a little surprised that the intake manifold has to come off to do the job. But then I was surprised the dashboard had to come out to replace the evaporator...

RF spring mount was changed out today and now the metallic clunking noise is gone. My mechanic did the job for $148.40 including $42.50 for the part and then tax. The car has quieted down quite a bit. He advised against changing the struts, etc. until they show more wear. Last oil change it was down...

Wheel hub asssembly was shot. I needed the car right away, so the dealer in the next town did it for $385 including $206 for the part (about $60 more than FCPGroton). I think I could have done it, but wasn't sure if the ball joint had to come apart. Thanks everyone for the input. Spring seats are ne...

I drove to Wilmington yesterday and the car howled all the way home. We put it up last night. There is a distinct rumble in the left front wheel when rotated. It's still tight when I pull at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock. The right front doesn't make noise, and is still tight. I'm shopping for a hub assem...
