Re: 94 850 Turbo running rich and idling high

The sensor is (if you are facing the car), left side, to the left of the intake manifold and to the right of the pullies . It is connected into the thermostat housing. In my situation, the plug's internal bullet connectors where not seating properly. The plastic plug with click into place as it shou...

There was a bit of challenge to it because of the components in the engine compartment getting in the way. Here’s what I came up with. It really stiffens t...

Re: 94 850 Turbo running rich and idling high

One thing that is not an obvious thing to check, is that coolant temp sensor. I had a similar issue, I found that the connector on the sensor was bad so was not giving the ECU the proper temp. This caused the idle to go really high (1500 rpms). I took me a month to figure this out. I bought two new ...

My latest budget mod: 3" intake to turbo

I felt like the engine was being choked a bit, so I decided to open it up some. I used 3 inch mandrel bent tubing and a BMW M60 3.0 MAF body. I must say the car sounds awesome and turbo spool is a lot faster. Just wanted to share in case folks are interesting in doing an intake. The hardest part is ...
