Re: What to look for when buying a 2002/2003 S80?

 Member 'subdued' comments on all S80's are his not necessarily all S80 owners...My 02 S80 T6 has given me no problems and now has 104,000 miles...The 99's-00's and 01's did indeed have ETM and tranny problems and electrical so I've read from the many posts.... You could always take the intere...

:? Don't know where you live, but here in southern Az it gets good and hot this time of year....By all means tint your windows., makes quite a difference in temperature...Also saves the leather interior...I would not have a vehicle w/o tinted windows....Get the darkest allowed by your state.. Cost c...

I do not use the oil filter from K&N, only Mann or Volvo oil filters. I like the K&N air filter...it allows more air through and for this I feel a little bit better response on the throttle. I haven't noticed any mpg gains. I also think it's economical, especially with the price of genuine ...

Welcome to MVS. If you're not having any of the electrical issues count yourself lucky. Of course I'm sure there are a lot of S80's that never have these issue. If I knew more about your car I would comment....but none-the-less, it's nice to have you aboard here. :?: Just a question...Noticed in ve...

Any idea why I'm able to shift from park without stepping on the brake, seems it is a safety issue. :( Sorry, do not know the answer to your question, although there are others on the forum that are way more qualified then I..Hopefully they will pipe in.... Its probably a brake locking device that ...

:D I also own a S80, 2002., T6 which I purchased almost 2 years ago.. The only serious problem I've had was a busted A/C high pressure hose and a complete brake job....Both of these were done by the dealer., one under warranty and one not.....Dealer service can get quite expensive... I did purchase ...

 Appears 'Made in Japan' answered your first question...On the second one about getting into gear from park on a hill....If your parking against a curb either down or up, turn your wheels in the direction necessary to block movement...Apply the parking brake PRIOR to shifting into park.. This w...

:( Best of my knowledge, Engine oil is'nt red, at least as red as tranny oil. If you cannot get back soon to where it was last changed, I'd crawl underneigh and drain the oil and replace filter...That way your positive about it....Tranny oil is usually really red unless it has'nt been changed for a ...

It sounds like a short to me...maybe one of the main grounding straps off of the negative battery. What am I checking for, tightness? corrision? I see a bunch of red wires coming fromt the positive and a vent tube from the battery... BTW, this is a serious problem for me. I almost got rear ended to...
