Re: Transmission cooling line leak?

You're just saying that because they go to the power steering pump.

Yep, I dropped the ball on that one.

Transmission cooling line leak?

2000 S70 non turbo Came home yesterday and found more drips than usual on the driveway. Initially thought it was oil, but now thinking it's tranny fluid that's gone a bit brown. Put the car on ramps and found it dripping like crazy from the bend in the cooling lines. But I can't seem to find where i...

Front Brake Drag

I've been having problem with my front passenger side brake. It was dragging, creating a lot of heat and dust. I pulled the wheel and caliper, lubed it and bled it. That seemed to help for a couple of months. Then about two weeks ago I started getting grinding when I braked. I pulled it apart and fo...

I mean... after I replace it. Not just going to leave the jumper in there.

Re: 2000 S70 Stalling, Failure to Start, Crankshaft Sensor Code...

Started first try when I jumped the relay. Hopefully that does it for a while (at least until after I close on my house).

Thanks guys.

Re: 2000 S70 Stalling, Failure to Start, Crankshaft Sensor Code...

I haven't been smelling fuel after cranking it. But I checked, and there is fuel pressure at the rail. I don't know how much, because I don't have a gauge. I noticed that when I turned the key to position II, the ETM did it's little click/click thing, and then was making a consistent high pitched hu...

2000 S70 Stalling, Failure to Start, Crankshaft Sensor Code...

A couple of days ago my S70 (2.4 normally aspirated) stalled on the way home, after having generally been running fine for quite some time. For a few minutes after that, it would turn over, sometimes start, sometimes not. When it would start it would idle roughly and then stall out. Try to give it g...

Re: 2000 S70 ETM/MAF diagnostics

Replaced the MAF with a used one (unknown, untested). No change. Obviously it could be another bad MAF, but still no codes. I guess it's down to the ETM. No?

Re: 2000 S70 ETM/MAF diagnostics

Voltage drop across those wires was about .09 (12.44 to 12.35), then I double checked a little while later after working on a couple of other things (and the radio draining the battery a bit) and it was .1 (12.25 to 12.15).

Re: 2000 S70 ETM/MAF diagnostics

Ok. I've just replaced the engine ground strap from the back of the engine to that awkward hard to get at bolt below the shock tower. I removed and cleaned those bolts and those at the ground locations next to the oil pressure pump and in front of the battery. I replaced them and checked resistance,...
