Not sure, seems low down-perhaps crank seals?

Hi
my wife's 2.0litre 440 leaks oil. I asked a former Volvo dealer - he said "2 litre engines leak"
Has anyone any experience on this problem?
It goes very well so my wife doesn't want a smaller engine 440.

I WISH I HAD SEEN THIS 3 YEARS AGO, oops, as we scrapped our 440 cd due to this. It was a superb car in every respect but it turned itself off.

After a bit of key fob trouble car stopped. no dash lights but starter operated. wait a minute and it starts. few miles1-2 car stops. Same process.
can I get at the Immobiliser and disconnect it. Car 80k miles and drives superbly- unless it stops.
