OIL LEAKS

Hi
my wife's 2.0litre 440 leaks oil. I asked a former Volvo dealer - he said "2 litre engines leak"
Has anyone any experience on this problem?
It goes very well so my wife doesn't want a smaller engine 440.

Where it leaks from? Gaskets, shaft seals or somewhere else?

Older engines tend to leak from a valve cover gasket(s), and crankshaft seals. With engine blow-by (combustion gases slipping by rings), this may increase internal engine pressure, and increase the amount of leakage.

Not sure, seems low down-perhaps crank seals?
