Thank you everyone for the support.

Whatever the jokers did, the shift problem has not returned. Since I am now past my 30-day warrantee, I'll replace the atf myself now, after I purchase a new jack.

After that: fix the A/C.

when I know either answer, I'll reply. This is not a "Volvo Shop", so I'll probably be lucky to get ATF, and not something else.

so, I bought a 2007 XC70 with 196k. And paid too much for it. Test drive (all of, maybe,, 30 minutes) seemed to be fine. Drove it May 4 and had an awful shift problem at low speed that felt like I had been rear-ended. Today's ~1.5 hours reading here at MVS leads me to believe that a transmission flu...
