I had this issue at one point in time on my 1998 volvo v70xc the oil cooler in the radiator got a crack in it and oil go into the coolant overflow bottle but didnt mix with oil in the oil pan i had the radiator replaced and that took care of that issue. i also had to have a leaky radiator replaced ...

Little update guys i found the original factory Axles for my vehicle--1998 volvo v70xc i found them on Tascaparts they are not cheap either the correct one for the right side of my wagon is 500.00 / the left side i believe was like 435.00

Cool ok thanks yea it only happened when i was making a turn. so the factory ones last forever? i have 254,000 on the factory one.

Hey thanks for the responce it only happened when i was turning also i had both wheel bearings replaced with the F-A-G units some years ago but i guess they can possibly be bad also

Ok this is fixed now i actually used a Depstech Borescope to look inside the bolt hole and the threads were clean. i think maybe the bolt fell out cause it might have come loose at one point.

i would imagine the threads go over halfway down into the hole probably the threads stop about half an inch from the very bottom of the area in length
