Re: 98 V70 Timing belt Change

ok so the water pump failed on my car and since the tensioner idler pulley with the stripped t-45 is in the way, I got no choice... It's gotta come out!

I plan on going to the "cut it out" route. What exactly am I cutting? Am I cutting the cast iron tower or is there a shiny metal sleeve ...

Re: Does this sound like the heater core?

"You'll be lucky if you didn't damage the engine."

Well that's not good, lol. It would be a bummer if I killed the engine. Until this happened engine was strong a pulling hard. I saw Robert's video about bypassing the heater core and his note about the rubber under the carpet. I'll pull the carpet ...

Re: Does this sound like the heater core?

no smell and nothing on the passenger floorboard.... that's what is giving me pause about the heater core... Although I have been adding water to the coolant for 2-years so I'm not sure how much of what is in my cooling system is still coolant. It's been almost 3-years since I did my last coolant ...

1998 V70 T5 automatic...

For the past two years or so I have had a small coolant leak in that I have had to add water every 300-400 miles to the expansion tank to keep it full. No big deal ...

Re: Air conditioning problem

I did this fix on my Volvo 3 years ago and everything worked great until recently. Now the ac is intermittent while driving. It’ll work for five minutes or so then cut off. Sometimes the compressor will engage if I can make the car do a hard shift but then it goes out again after a minute or 2. Is ...

Re: Clunky high speed down shift, Oil leak, AC trouble

Poly bushings... NO! NO! And *$&@ NO! They cause significant vibration and my upper bushing lasted less than three years before disintegrating! I ended up taking both of the poly parts out and replacing with OEM and am much happier now.

As far as installation goes, the transmission torque mount is ...
