Re: 06 S60 R MAFS / Surge

. . . and THE saga continues, when this afternoon it just died; restarted and ran like crap but no CEL.
At this point it is anybody's guess! Limped it back to the shop and fortunately is finally set a code(CEL) so there it sits.

I really like Carburetors, could have had this completely sorted in ...

06 S60R Shop/Repair Documentation/Software

I am 'that' new guy; and I have searched and read, and read, here and around the web...
Nowhere is there a clear listing (that I have found yet) of exactly what is required to be able to access beyond the simple OBDII level. I gather that all of this is tied into the VIDA system... and that there ...

Re: 06 S60 R MAFS / Surge

Here is the update.
Pulling codes with a good code reader pulled 6 codes with the most likely cause for all being a misfire on #2 replaced that coil.
The car seemed to run fine. This issue has been intermittent so when it stumbled at the first stop light off the highway this AM I got a call and I ...

Re: 06 S60 R MAFS / Surge

Minor update.
I checked everything I could see, disconnected the MAFS and the problem went away so I replaced the MAFS and apparently the problem was solved and it was... until it came back yesterday! At which point I made an appointment with a local independent shop that didn't immediately say ...

Re: 06 S60R Ft. Spoiler(Lip\Winglet) damaged need to rem

GooGone breaks it up a bit.... but what always works for me is just get a dry rag, and rub it... it'll start to curl up on itself and you just push it off.

Yes, tedious.... but at least it's small enough area.

I tried working on it like you describe and shortly gave up and went to the local NAPA ...

Re: 06 S60R Ft. Spoiler(Lip\Winglet) damaged need to rem

I believe you're going to need to drill through the middle of the rivet. Volvo can get your replacements if you're interested in OE... but basic rivets will work too. I put some beafier rivets into mine when re-installing.

These winglets are a PITA, no doubt. But they look great. Many owners try a ...

06 S60R Ft. Spoiler(Lip\Winglet) damaged need to remove

Better half caught a chunk of Ice and the OE styling spoiler needs to come off to be repaired or replaced. It appears to be held on with some kind of plastic rivet. I'd like to not add to the damage, how to these fasteners come off?

Thanks!
