I did drop it off to my mechanic a bit ago but he couldn't find a problem. I'll do so again and ask him to recheck the timing.

I assume he used a locking tool when changing the belt but I wasn't there.

Other than the occasional hard starts and trouble codes, it runs fine. I thought it would run poorly if it were off a tooth.

Thanks for the perspective. I did pay too much for it but my wife really wanted it and it's in really good shape. It is so much more solid than the tin can of a Corolla she was driving. The seats are comfortable which is important since she has scoliosis.
