Re: '06 V70 upper shock mounts Topic is solved

I ordered a set a number of years ago. Removed the old ones which looked perfect and returned the new set as unneeded.

If they look fine keep what you have.

Re: 2005 XC90 T6 Executive Project Car.

I have done the TB on two 2.9 engines - one NA and one Turbo. Both times I reused the bolts and so far no issues. 10.9 is a pretty hefty - M10 is 55 ft/lbs or 75NM (generic chart). Both times I had to take off the damper - not a big deal (other than whether to replace the bolts). It also makes findi...

You sure they are not listed in VIDA? Have you tried another model?

Re: 2005 XC90 T6 Executive Project Car.

I have always reused them - did not know they were single use. Torque is not that high for the size of the bolt and they are not AL.

On the batteries - not sure if they switched to NIMH from NiCad - but if they always used NIMH they will leak.

Re: 2005 XC90 T6 Executive Project Car.

Used is a good plan, but I would still open it up and replace the batteries. That way you won't have to touch it ever again (at least for a long while). Bottom line is the NiCads leak - it is normal. Warranty or not, you still have to rip the thing apart. Only concern is you open it up, it is rotted...

Re: 2005 XC90 T6 Executive Project Car.

Board actually doesn't look too bad. If you have a VOM and a soldering iron you may be able to save it. Depends if you want to do the work. Start by cleaning it with some alcohol and a Q-tip, but be careful not to further damage any of the traces. Once it is cleaned up use your VOM and check if the ...

Re: XC 90 Help

It sounds like you have a parasitic drain (short) somewhere. There are multiple videos on the subject on how to find the offending circuit. First you have to eliminate the alternator, although if you had the problem before and the new alternator didn't fix the issue it points to another problem. Wou...

Re: EVAP Hose Hanging Low

Blow air or smoke into the system going back. If it is disconnected you will know. Can you access the other end (charcoal canister)? If you can disconnect this and blow through it then the kink shouldn't be an issue. Sounds like some one did some work on the car and put it back together improperly. ...

Re: 2003 xc90 clunking in steering & veers to the left hard.

I find it hard to believe the dealer can find nothing wrong with the car based on what you describe. Are you saying it does not misbehave when they are driving it? You do not mention when the part swap began. Did the XC90 have the issues and all those parts were installed with no results or over the...

Re: EVAP Hose Hanging Low

That is not normal. I have always noticed those lines being snapped into places to hold them in place. I suppose if all the snap points are removed it is possible they may hang that low. You need to follow the lines and see if they end with a connection and if there are snap point to secure them. Yo...
