Re: 2007 2.5T or 2008 2.4 diesel

State side we never saw the 2.4 diesel. I suggest you just look up the 2.4 diesel in any Volvo that uses that engine. Next I would look at the transmission the two variants use. State side the 2.5T and its matching transmission have proven very solid. Parts are easy to source for both the transmissi...

Re: 2008 XC 90 3.2L P0057 Heated O2 Sensor Location

As I understand it, starting on the passenger side Cylinder 1 going to driver side is Cylinder 6. Bank 1 is cylinders 1-3 and Bank 2 is 4-6. The O2 sensors that you see closest to the cylinder head are Sensor 1(s) and those after downstream as they say, are Sensor 2(s). So yes to "I am assuming the ...

Re: 2005 Volvo S80 T6

The OP is listed as living in Malaysia. Parts may not be so easy to source there or as cheap. That leads to his other option of switching to a standard suspension. I would assume one could examine the car and the existing mounting hardware and how it ties into the rest of the suspension. It may be j...

Re: 07 XC70 rear window defogger

I have had success with the conductive paint. Just follow the directions and properly prepare and clean the area.

Re: 2003 V70 Transmission Swap Questions

You could try swapping out the entire valve body if you have not yanked the transmission again. Use your original valve body in the new transmission and see what happens. There are four or five variations of the valve body denoted with "no letter", A, B, C (not sure if there is a D). I am no expert,...

Re: 00-04 s80 NA: 0-60?

I don't know how fast it does 0-60 mph in, but it is more than adequate. I owned a 2004 2.9 na and it was a very nice car. The only issue is the transmission when it gets up there in miles (I have seen some get 200k miles so it is fine on the S80 2.9 na (unlike the XC90). Other than the transmission...

Re: Outer CV Boot Replacement

fcpeuro has a video on the inner CV boot. https://blog.fcpeuro.com/learn-how-to-replace-your-volvo-inner-cv-joint-boot The outer boot is pretty straight forward. It may or may not have an internal circlip which needs to be removed. Remove it and tap out the joint. Clean it all up and put boot on the...

Re: replacing front struts again

Per my experience - sway bar end links and spring seats are the two parts most frequently replaced on Volvos I have owned. What I am saying - if the seats are bad replace the seats as they are a wear item. You should be able to source some from a site sponsor for under $50 for the pair, with lifetim...

Have you reviewed this post? Read through it and this post and then review again what follows below. https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=77183 Are you saying the VVT hub has no forward or backward end point? Can you remove the plastic VVT hub plug and make sure the internal torx...
