Mike, Thanks for the reply. The odd thing is that the fluid is "lifetime" so why would there be a counter? If the computer is adjusting for viscosity breakdown as the fluid ages, would it make more sense to do multiple drain/fill with a few hundred miles in between? That would give the com...

Is there something we need to reset in the volvo computer as well as the flush? I'm at 95k miles on a new to me 2004 xc90 and want to do this not knowing how the previous owner drove. I have the fluid on order already from FCP (Aisin OEM ATF-04 JWS3309) But I do not have Vida/Dice (I'm on mac OS too)

2004 XC90 Motul x-clean oil?
Bought a new to me 2004 xc90 with 95k on the odometer. The dealer had a fresh oil change done to sell the car, but I have no idea what oil he used. I ordered Motul 8100 5w30 x-clean and filters from FCP, but now realize that the x-clean is more diesel specific. Euro spec 4 and 5, ACEA C3, API SM/CF ...
