I just bought a 2006 V50 T5 AWD 6 speed, and i'm super stoked to own this car! I'm currently working though solving all the issues it has, and one of them is a constant CEL.

The car has codes PO100 and PO036 .

I noticed that the car has a wonky idle, and shudders while revving after ...

Just replaced the turbo drain tube seals and the job went well. However, The oil leak remains.

While looking under the car, I noticed that the cooling tube that goes along the backside of the engine is dripping wet with oil. I believe that the oil leak is higher up on the back of the engine.

Eeeks. Hopefully it isn't that bad of a job for you. So you have the smoke rising from that area too, eh?

My '97 T-5 Wagon has an issue when I fuel it up at the gas station. After only about a dozen seconds of fueling, the nozzle "clicks" off, and I constantly have to fight this until the tank is at a reasonably full level. The car also has a CEL code for the EVAP system, code PO440.

What other tests can I do to diagnose these failed parts?

I know that, thats why I said, "Since my car doesn't actually have a MAF sensor (10-valve engine, siemens engine management) and uses a combination of a MAP sensor (near the radiator) and an air temp sensor (where the MAF sensor would usually be) to measure engine air flow..."

Okay, I just pulled some codes from the OBD 1 diagnostic port under the hood. It returned these fault codes:
- 121 - MAF sensor signal
- 521 - Front HO2S Preheating
- 243 - Throttle Position sensor (TPS) signal

The ignition coil could be a possible culprit. The dealer where I bought it from probably (hopefully) has some spare ignition parts for a 10-valve. I have an appointment to bring it in on Thursday. Fingers crossed that it acts up for them!

Yeah, I'm positive that it is a 10 valve car since it doesn't have '20-valve' lettered on the plastic spark plug cover.

I check the plug wires and they are bougicord. The cap is a bosch part. The plugs are Volvo OEM plugs and they look brand new.
