I have to replace the Turbo (siezed up) on my 95,000 mi 94 850 Turbo wagon. I am not sure which turbo to buy, the 13G stock replacement or the 16T. Will I gain anything by going to the upgrade turbo if the car is going to stay stock otherwise? The cost diff is $400. Thanks

Try polishing compound first (it will take off less paint than rubbing compound). You can also one of those electric orbital buffers (Walmart) for more severe scratches. It may look so good you'll have to do the whole car.

Pulled the plastic hose off the turbo and stuck my fingrer in the turbo and it does not turn. Should I just get a stock replacement turbo? I won;t be doing any performance mods on this car so I am not sure if there is much to gain by going to the 16t or not. Thanks for the replies

Codes are 1-1-1 on all. After checking the codes the CEL was on when I satrted the car (I did not turn the key to off before starting after the code test). I turned it off and restarted it and the CEL light went off. Any suggestions or is it time to make an appt. at the dealer? - 150 miles away.

94 850 Turbo all stock 95000 mi. My boost gauge never moves into the white area at all. At idle it is near the left of the black area and the car is slow like a non turbo car, and shifts very hard into 2nd and 3rd gear when accelerating.
