The electrical connection is a harness with the most tiny of possible pins so I just sprayed some non residue electrical contact cleaner on both sides of the connection. So I've managed to check the two potentiometers in VIDA and they have opposing voltages and seem to be equal at around 25% throttle. The fault has been cleared and not come back so I don't know if the wiring will do anything. I'll resurrect this if needed to update if the problem starts coming back.

I am towing sometimes with a 2006 V70 FWD 2.5T automatic and with my OBD2 scanner I can read the coolant temperature and the transmission fluid temperature and they are almost always the same or off by a degree. I have changed the transmission fluid and would like to keep an eye on the temperatures ...
