Re: How long for a P0012 (intake cam pos timing over retarded) code to appear on '02 S60?
It bolts into the backside of the cams and then the two halves are bolted together.

How long for a P0012 (intake cam pos timing over retarded) code to appear on '02 s60?
Just did the timing belt, cam seals and CVVT hub (on intake cam) on a 2002 S60 non-turbo. I checked the timing and belt tension about 50 miles after completing the job just to be sure and everything looked fine. Plus I used a cam locking tool while doing the work. After driving approx. 400 miles wit...

Re: 97 850 NA heart break
Is the check engine light on? Any mass air flow codes? Try unplugging the MAF and start the car. If it starts/runs, leave it running and plug the MAF back in. If it dies as soon as the MAF is plugged in, the sensor is probably bad. This happened to me a while ago, had similar symptoms: https://www.m...

Re: Not starting after head gasket replacement
Does it feel like its about to catch or not even close? Might be a long shot but, how long did you have the lifters out? Were they soaking in oil? One of the head rebuilds I did i think the lifters somehow got saturated with oil and valves were basically stuck open. It finally started after about an...

Re: New fuel pump and relay but still no fuel pressure!
Ok - so I was never able to start the car with the MAF plugged in. It did however start and run OK (driveable) with the MAF unplugged, but was then obviously throwing a MAF code. I ended up getting a new MAF and as soon as i plugged it in, the car started right up and so far runs and drives like it ...

Re: New fuel pump and relay but still no fuel pressure!
How do I know what pressure the regulator is designed for? I don't think it said on the box or on the regulator itself... Yes, the regulator is between the wheels (underneath) on the passenger side, near the fuel filter. OK- i will try jumping the relay but suspect thats not the problem because I ge...

Re: New fuel pump and relay but still no fuel pressure!
Installed a new fuel pressure regulator (GP Sorensen). The relay is Duralast (new), pump is Delphi (new). Checked all vac lines by vac tree and manifold, no fuel (not really smell of fuel even). Lines in decent condition. After the new fuel pressure regulator install, engine wouldn’t even start. Bel...

Re: New fuel pump and relay but still no fuel pressure!
Yes the red rubber valve looked fine (i think) and the lines didnt look or feel dry rotted or brittle.
That would make sense but its a non turbo...and dont think its an air problem unless its with vacuum lines?
