positive that I have connected the TCV correctly.
The spike value could be off as the ODBII reader has a bit of lag in it, so it is not as relaible as a real gague.
I have seen the spike over 20, but I dont think the stock turbo could do that, so I have put it down to a quirk of the reader and app.

Hi Guys, I am still having some trouble ironing out the issues with my recently purchased XC70 (118,000Km). Symptoms: (diagnosis with a cheap ODBII Bluetooth dongle and Torque app on Android) Boost appears to spike at 14psi+ for a fraction of a second Boost then was about 2psi tapering off to 0.5psi...

Re: 2002 XC70 Loss of power
Update on my trip to the mechanic: The major performance issue was a combination of things, but mainly the fact that when the timing belt was changed... it was 1 tooth out. This prompted the original mechanic to then "tweak" the timing. Making the car run but certainly not correctly. The T...

Re: 2002 XC70 Loss of power
This car is the gift that just keeps giving. This morning I started the car in my driveway (about a 15deg slope, nose down), car idled for about 4 min... then just stopped and refused to start. 25% fuel left, 220Km till empty. I thought that I would try my luck and put another 5L (1 Gallon) of fuel ...

2002 XC70 Loss of power
Hi Guys, I posted a little while back about an error P0443 code on my Volvo. The shop fixed that issue by replacing one sensor ($60 for a second hand one). However the Volvo is still missing a LOT of power. I put in my ODBII dongle last night and the Torque app (Android). While driving home I notice...

2002 XC-70 CEL 443 + Poor Performance
Hi Guys, First post on this site, I have been lurking for a few days and looking at lots of posts, looks like a very active and friendly forum. I picked up a 2002 XC-70 last weekend, this is a replacement for my 2001-S60T (Stage1 ECU) that was written off in a small rear-end accident. I was in a bit...
