Re: 1998 S70 T5 stalled, won't restart

Been awhile, sorry for the delay...back at this beast, got a code reader, showed the crank sensor was bad, ordered a new one, went to install it and when I pulled the old crank sensor, the end of it was broken off!....replaced it and car would start, but would die shortly; can keep it running @ 3000...

1998 S70 T5 stalled, won't restart

1998 S70 T5....driving on deserted city streets, in 3rd gear, going about 30, light changed, stepped on it to beat the light, and car performed well, beat the light but then it died, CEL lit, got it towed home (Thanks AAA). car turns over, timing marks still lined up, apparently there is fuel, get a...

Re: no teeth on starter, 1997 Volvo S70 T5, won't turn over by hand

alright, put in a new starter, crossed my fingers and it started right up.....noticed a few more things needing attention, the antennae won't retract all the way, sticker for the timing belt says it was done at 140,000, there is 208,000 on the car, the nipple on the coolant reservoir is snapped off....

Re: no teeth on starter, 1997 Volvo S70 T5, won't turn over by hand

car was the lady's daily driver, she got in on Tuesday and it wouldn't start, and had it towed to the shop, not a Volvo shop.... I have the timing cover off and the belt is intact and the timing marks appear lined up, at least the 2 cams are , having a hard time seeing the crank mark though...

no teeth on starter, 1997 Volvo S70 T5, won't turn over by hand

Got the car for free from a friend of my brother, towed it home from the shop it was taken to cause it wouldn't start, starter was already removed by the shop, has no teeth on it, and the car won't turn all the way over by hand using a wrench according to the shop...timing belt looks ok, at least at...
