2002 S80 need help with timing belt tensioner
Tensioner issue on a 2002 S80 nonturbo. I need some advice in the next few hours. I replaced the tensioner with the one included in a Beck/Arnley timing-belt replacement kit. When I put the tensioner on, I tightened it down finger tight. I put the belt on and carefully turned the crankshaft clockwis...

Re: 2002 S80 timing belt markings.
Haven't had this much fun since college changing a starter on a mustang. Pulled two wheels up on the curb so I could get under the car by laying in the gutter. Had to get it finished so I couldn't stop just because it started to rain!!!

Re: 2002 S80 timing belt markings.
By the way, here's my plan for keeping the cams from moving while I'm working on this project. I plan to put some small brass screws in this wood block that will fit in the grooves on the sprockets.

2002 S80 timing belt markings.
I'm replacing the water pump and timing belt. I have not removed the timing belt but that's the next step. I have located the timing marks on the Intake and exhaust cams and on the crankshaft. When I line up the timing marks on the two camshafts with the notches in the top of the timing cover, it lo...

Re: 2002 S80 Broken connector on Coolant Line To Thermostat
Good advice. It's really a tight space and I can't seem to get it put together right after two tries. This reminds me of the reasons I quit working on cars years ago. I'm taking it to a professional tomorrow.

Re: 2004 T6 DIY Thermostat Fix - Easy Tutorial
Having the same problem and I’m in the middle of the repair. kickin_it said “Note: there is a plastic piece on the back timing cover that will need to be modified. The easiest and best looking would be to use a dremmel or something similar. I did not have one on hand and opted for some pliers and ju...
