I'd been having hell with that rear latch on the Falcon too. That plastic piece is a PITA.
Couldn't get the hatch closed sufficiently enough to turn off the "door open" dash light.

I'm tempted but good, the Baja gets me around and this robo-shoulder still has several months of healing ahead before I can even dink around with it again. Appreciate you much!

Today, I drove the Falcon onto a trailer, said my goodbyes to her, and watched her head out to her next adventure with MarinerMan, who is a fascinating guy with some hilarious stories, and I'm very relieved and thankful that he's the right person who finally found her.

I got the Falcon running today, in anticipation of her move to a better home than I can provide now.
Hadn't been started since the beginning of last year, so checked for the inevitable nest in the filter box etc etc etc before actually turning the engine over.
She sounds great. '99 V70R, mfd '98 ...

Needs a battery, blower motor, f'ing ebrake done, rear hatch lock and two tires.

You could paint the Falcon saffron and get a better deal...
