Well i have this same problem ..u know what i did i bought some gasget material maker it's kind of like paper or cardboard and make my own gasket you buy it at AutoZone cheap fix hope this helps

Like i said i lost power to my ecm i linked a 12v power suply to a fuse 15 amp i think inline fuse to a module under my dash and it all worked again ..might not work in your case. .it cost me 1k bucks after said and done with volvos false Diagnostics to get paided 200 bucks .took it in to another.gu...

Your problem might not be the same ..my ecm was not getting power to it to tell the bcm to do what it sapost to do it was a mess

I did ..my volvo mechanic told me to run a 12v power suply to my blue wire of the ecm its under the bcm ..lol it's complicated to explain but every thing works now

Well fuck 800 bucks later and 200 diagnostics from Volvo how about that rebuilt BCM from the site above and it was not the BCM a guy said its the ccm or something like that under the dash ..i can tell u he said the bcm plug theres 2 blue wires one 16g wire and one about 18g tested it and the 18g blu...

Volvo told me 1800 to fix it i told them no thanks too it to a nother guy they said 850 to fix it and it was the bcm is there a cheaper way to get this fixed

It was not showing any codes or check engine light

I just put my 06 s60 in the volvo shop they told me 200 bucks for a check and i guess we will go from there ill keep u updated they will get to it tomarrow
