Re: Is this bad news?

The rear diff leak is probably just the main seal. The driveshaft will throw oil along way. I'm sure there is a video on YouTube on how to replace those seals. Probably by this guy. https://youtube.com/user/volvosweden?feature=hovercard If you don't have a good set of Torx and Allen sockets get one....

I've had the low oil pressure warning. Now I've blown a turbo.

My Dr side turbo just blew on my 04 T6 AWD. How hard is it to change? (I'm very mechanically inclined but have no hoist.) My passenger side turbo is leaking oil into the charge pipe. It has some play in it.... Should I rebuild with cartridges from E-Bay? Has anyone tried these? http://www.ebay.com/i...

Re: Found Lost Dinosaurs in my oil...

I cut the filter open. Full of Dino Chunks! Wow! I was surprised that there was that much stuff floating around in there. The cup that holds the filter was full of oil and awash with very fine partials. I'm not sure what has caused this stuff to loosen and become animated. I didn't do a flush or put...

Re: My 2004 XC90 won't turn over

Is the battery dead form trying to start it while out of gas?
I'd add a little more gas and charge the battery or get a boost.
Always check your fuses first.
Good luck

Re: Found Lost Dinosaurs in my oil...

Thanks Roger. I just changed the filter and there were more Dino bits in the filter cup. I'm going to cut the filter open later today and see what is inside. It's draining right now. I'll post photos and a video link when I get it done. I'm not a fan of regular old Dino Squeezins in turbo charged ca...

Found Lost Dinosaurs in my oil...

Found Lost Dinosaurs in my oil... I should say I found the remains of dinosaurs in my oil today. I changed the oil for the first time since I got this car a few weeks back. I found chunks! Lots of Carbon Chunks! (Looks like coffee grinds.) Mmmm Dino Squeezins. All in about half a teaspoon. It looks ...

Re: 2004 XC90 Help. Possibly Electrical?

I would suspect the CPS as well. Check that it is installed into the block properly. Also Check the confection at the plug for corrosion and connection. Look for worn wires while you are at it.

Re: 2004 XC90 Help. Possibly Electrical?

Get yourself a code reader. If you spend about $100 you will get one that is good enough to accurately point out the problems. Spend less and you will have an idea of what is wrong but not the whole picture. You can Google the codes to find out what they are exactly. Then you can diagnose most probl...

Re: Cabin fan turned on by it's self. No key!

Thanks! I've been trying to remember to turn the fan knob to off each time I shut the car off. Just in case... I was thinking it was a computer malfunction.
I'll watch and time it next time I catch it doing that. In the mean time I'll just lave the knob alone.
