Thanks, Al. I appreciate your sharing your experience with installing and then being disappointed by a cheaper part. I've fallen victim to this on more than one occasion so I now do as you suggest and get the factory part unless an aftermarket one is from a known manufacturer like Mann, etc.

My fuel gauge in my 2002 S40 just went bonkers. It is stuck at the 3/4 full mark and does not move as I drive and consume fuel. Correct. I see the Heico are only available for more current years of S40 (i.e. 2006+). Mine is a 2002.

Thanks for your reply. I have used Shox.com some years back when I had a Mini Cooper JCW. Bought set of Koni FSD shocks from them. I'll check out the Heico springs. Your 2007 S40 is probably close enough to my 2002 in the suspension dept. to make for a good comparison.

Tell us what you find out...I'm thinking that even in the summer, that's not going to be enough cranking power.
