Re: 2006 Volvo XC70 blown turbo repair symptoms
Final update: Cleaned the TB hose one more time, removed only a few cc's of oil and residue. Removed all plugs and cleaned them with mineral spirits, and re-installed. Took the car for a good long drive with varying engine loads, all seems well now! Will still do an ECU reset procedure just to be su...

Re: Help with blown turbo repair symptoms!
Next update: Removed another 10cc's of oil from IC to TB hose, took car for another drive. Almost completely back to normal now, but it'll still misfires and loses some power at around 80% engine load. When it does, blue oil clouds are smaller now, but the engine makes a bit of a clattering sound wh...

Re: Help with blown turbo repair symptoms!
So given the amount of oil these plugs have been subjected to, should I replace them? Or maybe submerge the probe in some mineral spirits and use a nylon brush to attempt to clean the electrodes? These plugs weren't cheap, I'd rather not replace unless it's necessary.

Re: Help with blown turbo repair symptoms!
Thanks everybody for the helpful posts! I removed the IC to TB hose last night, there was about 4oz of oil sitting in the low spot of the hose. After dumping that out, I decided to check a spark plug, it was pretty gross. It was wet with oil, and looks pretty awful for only having about 20K miles on...

Re: What to check first?
I'd start by unplugging your MAF and starting the car, does it behave differently? Also might want to try an ECU reset, I've read that sometimes that's necessary when messing with the MAF. If not that, have you removed the air intake filter box and inspected for blockage? I'm not terribly familar wi...

Re: Help with blown turbo repair symptoms!
I left the exhaust turbine housing on the car and just removed the CHRA + Compressor housing. When I removed the air inlet from the compressor housing, about 6oz of oil spilled out, and the entire compressor side was filled with another untold amount of oil when I removed it. I've had an intermitten...

2006 Volvo XC70 blown turbo repair symptoms
2006 Volvo XC70, 114K miles. Recently did a full PCV replacement, including dropping the oil sump and cleaning the drain. About 500 miles later, merging on the highway, loud pop and the car falls on it's face, loses power. Car continues to drive at highway speeds as long as no engine load was presen...

Re: Help with fuel line coupling on fuel rail
Thanks for the responses everyone. Can confirm, I don't believe any special tools were needed, although I did use a fuel line decoupler. I haven't examined the clip, but I don't think the decoupler did anything really.

Help with fuel line coupling on fuel rail
Hello all, I've been lurking for a while, and I've run into an issue. I'm performing the PCV system replacement on my 2006 XC70, and I'm having a great deal of difficulty with the attachment between the fuel rail and the fuel line. The style I appear to have is the one on the right in the below phot...
