Re: Fitting Roof spoiler - 2009 V70

Thanks for the replys, I looked at that site and it was helpful. For anybody else doing this, open the boot lid and you will see the positions marked to drill 4 holes (2 each side). The spoiler has two bolts moulded into it, and these poke through two of these holes, and it has two threads in it, wh...

Fitting Roof spoiler - 2009 V70

Hi guys, I have a 2009 Volvo V70, and have bought the OEM spoiler which mounts to the top of the tailgate/back of the roof. I was wondering if there is a fitting guide, as although it can't be hard it appears that I need to drill two holes. Is there a stencil which can be used to do this to get them...

Re: Volvo V70 AWD - 'Clanking' noise when driving

Oh, is the drive shaft on these cars boxed in? The Volvo 'engineer' (mechanic) said that he could not see the shaft on this car, and would have to take it appart to see what the diameter of it is. He then said that if it was a certain size then Volvo would not be able to get the parts. All seems ver...

Re: Volvo V70 AWD - 'Clanking' noise when driving

Thanks for the response. Well after looking it over and seeing nothing superficially wrong, my dad took it to a garage, who couldn't find any problem, but did suggest it was a tyre (absolute madness) so swapped around some tyres and surprise surprise it made no difference (as I say, absolute madness...

Re: Volvo V70 AWD - 'Clanking' noise when driving

Hi,

Thanks very much for the response, I have passed it on to my Dad. I will check the driveshaft and CV joints when im at his house next. I am also guessing that is is drive shaft related.

Thanks

Hi Guys, I need some advice please. The car is a 1998 V70 AWD, 20V engine automatic car . It has about 110,000 miles and a full volvo service history. There is a noise which has just appeared, which sounds like it is comeing from around the gearbox area. The car is my Dad's, and he sent me the follo...

Hi all, I know this is an old thread again now, but I have just found it and have had the exact same problem for a few years - every time I start it up. I have a 1998 V70 AWD 20V. The symptons are identical to those described, but it doesn't sound like the video, but rather more of a moan coming fro...

v70 - engine electrical problem

Hi, The car is a 1998 V70 20v 2.5 turbo automatic on about 95,000 miles. It is RHD. (England). A few days ago a warning light came on in the dashboard, signaling an engine electrical fault. (the light is a small blue (i think) triangle on the farside of the instrument cluster). At the same time the ...

Thanks for the help.

I fixed the problem a month or so ago. Turned out the breather pipe into the sump was loose (thanks to Volvo for moving it in the first place, grrr), so once the inlet manifold was wipped off it was easy to acess. Im glad it tuned out to be an easy fix.

Thanks
