Re: Wtb engine for 98 v70 glt (Missouri, few hours drive )

I am going to a U-pull it that has a 1998 S70 and a NA motor. The last service for timing chain is 10/24 and it looks ok, I am pulling some more parts from it on Saturday. I will it out for you, its a few hours away from STL . It is in for passenger side damage, not bad, but enough to keep it from ...

Re: Wtb engine for 98 v70 glt

If you go to an LQT junkyard they can look online for you. Their database of cars is much bigger than the one you see online , so you have to have them search for you. I've had my parts guy at work check with the junkyards we use, LKQ and Yancy, they don't have anything to fit it according to their...

Wtb engine for 98 v70 glt (Missouri, few hours drive )

Hey guys, I'm in search of an engine for my 98 v70 glt, located outside of stl Missouri I am willing to drive a few hours to pick something up. Would prefer it be a known good engine. Trying to avoid junkyard finds that may have other issues if at all possible.

Re: I wish Volvo had made discrete DRLs on the P80

I knew about the switch. At this point in P80 lifetimes, it's like closing the barn doors after the horses have left. what do you mean? I assume you mean the reflector is already destroyed on your headlights? ergo, the horses are out. in that case my friend you need new horses, and I would recommen...

Re: 98 B5254T head on 99 block?

You wouldn't be able to use the M4.4 ECU from the '98 in the ME7 '99 anyway. Harnesses are totally different. You could use the block from the '99 in your '98 though, and use your '98 head (Not sure which head gasket you'd need to use though). You'd gain the stronger RN block and the benefits of th...

Re: 98 5254T head on 99 block?

I know a friend of mine had a 98 V70 AWD and fitted an engine from a 2006? S60 and if I recall removed the VVT and used the 98 ECU. The issue I would see is that the 98 were mostly fitted with the hydraulic tensioner, but then some were fitted with the manual tensioner too. Hopefully some of those ...

98 B5254T head on 99 block?

Summary: can I replace my 98 B5254T with a 99 B5254T, assuming I use the head, cams, etc from the 98? Hey guys, been a few years since I posted. I've had a 98 v70xc sitting around for a good while now in storage while weeks turned into months turned into years until I finally decided enough was enou...

Re: Major toe-out, steering wheel upside down

Yeah I'm very familiar with the pick n pull near me, unfortunately that means I know they don't have any wagons with this body style right now and certainty not this red color, I need the bottom strip that runs all the way back, I'm actually thinking about going black with it and replacing both sid...

Re: Compression test results.

Did the seafoam and got the compression up a bit to around 165 in cyl 2. Not perfect but I'll take it. Also ran some blue devil in it and I have noticed less smoke but the coolant system is still pressurizing, maybe not as much but it's hard to tell, I'm writing the blue devil off as a failure. Trie...

Re: Possible bad head gasket? Confused.

Actually abscate. A little update to that. Something about like 3-5 months ago the oil started getting milky again, all symptoms came back and got worse. So the bars really only really bought me a little bit of time, I had planned to do the head gasket right this time until I wrecked it about 2 mont...
