Thanks, I thought so as well. I'll order one and report my results.

Re: Volvo 240 oil pressure sender unit
The VDO website doesn't recognize "360-800". The Volvo part numbers, 3417000 & 3427000-1, can't be cross-referenced by VDO. If the OEM part's characteristics could be established then a comparable replacement could be ordered, so VDO told me. The only 5-bar VDO sender with M14x1.5 thre...

Re: Volvo 240 oil pressure sender unit
OK. Talked to VDO tech support. No definite answer. The suggested I contact www.kienzle.de, their european distributor. Before I go that route however, I want to check out a couple things with MVS about this. I found a VDO sender 360-028. It's 80 PSI/5-bar, has M14X1.5 threads (is that the correct t...

Re: Volvo 240 oil pressure sender unit
VDO most likely was the original manufacturer. Of the two VDO products listed above 360-081-030-033C is a valid number in their catalog. Can anyone verify fit? It's a 5-bar with M14 x 1.5 threads. Thanks.

Re: Volvo 240 oil pressure sender unit
Hi, I've suffered the same fate. I was working on an alternator and ground wire replacement and snapped off a terminal of my oil pressure sending unit. Local auto parts supplier ran above numbers to no avail. Is there an egauges.com equivalent? Or another substitute? Thanks.

Re: 245 needs help with A/C.
I'll jump it out. Since my OP, I've discovered through my local dealership that no version of a 240 H-side Pressostat is available (R12 or R134a) though them. Neither is the condensor, or hard lines. So if someone knows of a reliable source of NOS, great. Thanks MVS and posters!

240 Towing Capacity Question
I own a '91 245. I recently bought a pop-up style camper. Fleetwood hi-wall w/dinette slide. It's 3770 GVWR empty and dry. Can anyone offer hitch information or tell me about the weight limit I may pull? Volvo engine is basically sound, has a VX cam and IPD pulley set 7.5' advanced. Trans is solid a...

245 needs help with A/C.
I have a '91 245. I have an issue with an A/C control that is no longer available. It's the HI-Pressure sensor on the lower right of the condenser. Original part number 3540227 (AKA 6848584) comes up "no gots". Can I jump it out safely or is there a repair or upgrade that works better? I'v...
