If you have time, nerves and knowledge how to do it - it is definitely worth pulling off the dash and fixing the freakin squeak. Mine was driving me crazy but I solved it in a pretty barbaric way.

So as the topic says, I am wondering if there is anything that can be done to make S70 more comfortable? The car seems the be kind of harsh when driven over the road bumps.

I had a problem related to emitions for about a year, and several mechanics could not figure out what was the deal. It turned out that black hose was leaking (the one which goes from air pump to sas valve). If ur air pump is not working just replace it with used one, and i guess and u should be fine ...

As the topic says, I had a check engine light for about two weeks which has gone off by itself? The bulb is OK since the display flashes every time i turn the car on.

How is this possible?

I thought you need to disconect a battery or clear it by Code machine, but had no idea that the check engine ...

I found this method on here but it doesnt work for me:
Turn key on pos 1 while holding the odometer reset button. Keep holding it in and turn key to pos 2. Wait for service light to flash. Its now reset

Is there any other way to reset this or I have to take it to the dealer

Check your "B" battery cable.
This is the cable that goes from the battery to the fuse box.
It's hard to tell but if you open the fulebox, look at the metal connector.
If it shows signs of heat and it's scorched that could be your problem.
If it hasn't been replaced from original by now, it's due ...

The red light icon shows whenever i press the gas hard. I hope its not the alternator, if it is $700 is gone
