Re: Home Made Short Ram Intake
I toyed with the idea of trying the dryer hose, funnel system that Matt posted, but the clearance getting up past the battery is tight in my S70. And once you remove the weather guard from the stock intake, which is a pretty straight shot, I don't know if it would make all that much difference. I d...

Here's a video that gives some general knowledge for these codes in v/s70, 850s and etc. The production quality is kinda iffy but the info is definitely there

If i'm not mistaken, you'll have to drive a bit after clearing the codes, so that the computer can cycle though the tests again. I've had an inspection (here in TX) rejected because I cleared the codes on my old XC90 immediately before taking it to the inspection station. EDIT: my bad, I should hav...

IIRC, if you disconnect the battery and wait 5 minutes, the codes will clear.

UPDATE: so I found a crack on the J hose. Let's not talk about how much of a pain in the azz it was to remove those factory cramp hose clamps in one and half foot of clearance... But anyways, would a small rip by the clamp cause it to throw a gross evap leak code? I have yet to get the J hose from i...

Re: 2000 Volvo S70 Shuts off While Driving
This sounds like a bad vacuum leak i had on my N/A s70, because it would have the same symptoms intermediately. For the most part the car would drop rpms and stutter for a few seconds while the car was coming to stop and then it would shoot back up once the car stopped. Does it idle rough?

Urgent - 1998 S70 has a p0455 and p0442 - fails emissions Topic is solved
Hey everyone, I just recently bought a 98 volvo s70 glt and as I was driving 4 days later, a check engine popped up. I'm in the works of trying to get it registered in Virginia so I need to get emissions, but a check engine light will immediately fail it. I need help getting a general direction on w...
