Re: Water in sunshade
4 drains is correct. In addition to the hoses in the "A" pillars, there are hoses that run down the "C" pillars to an area at the front of the rear wheel wells. They have the same purse-lip 90° drain fitting https://www.volvopartswebstore.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_assembly=18833...

Re: Front Driverside Break 2007 XC90 FWD 3.2
I had that problem with the right rear brake on my 740. It was the flexible hose at the caliper. The inner lining of the hose would separate and deflect in such a way that it would serve as a check valve. Reasonably cheap thing to eliminate.

Re: Water in sunshade
There are different size batteries that fit in the tray and under the cover without modification. The smaller stock battery is terrible for even using the radio in ACC position. Get the largest AGM battery that fits. On my '09 XC90 it's H7, on my'14 XC90 it's H8. I've read that Walmart does a straig...

Re: New 850 t-shirt!
Sorry Capndirk, the print is on the front. But because I print these myself, I can print on the back for yours. 😊 Thanks, Matthew, that would be great! I actually thought the image of the shirt was a back print, but looking at it again, I now see the front neck-line scoop. I guess i got excited and...

Re: New 850 t-shirt!
I pre-ordered one because it has "Volvo" on it, it supports the site, I like the graphic although it means nothing to me, and the print is on the back. I hate T-shirts with splash prints on the front. It is on the back isn't it? Maybe the shirt could feature XC90 instead of 850. I would bu...

Re: 2006 XC90 BCM Diagnostic Codes
I had a fault with the motor on my '09 BCM that caused an anti-skid message. VIDA read it as a "vacuum motor" fault. After a lot of research, I found a thread in here about the brushes in the BCM motor. I only had around 90k miles on it, at the time. I harvested a motor that looked similar...

Re: 2011 6cyl: No Start (turns over) (edited)
I have no logical basis to suggest this, but it's the first thing that came to mind as I read this thread; replace the fuel pressure sensor. Call it long distance ESP. The mileage and age is good for this call, so I would definitely eliminate it. I've read in too many threads where the thing hasn't ...

The resistor is in the fan housing itself, https://www.ipdusa.com/products/7425/Heater-Fan-Resistor-P2-S60-S80-V70-XC70-XC90-Behr-70815827NA-Volvo-32392296-8693262-9171541?crumbs=998,1013 It controls fan speed from digital input provided by the Climate Control Module. Maybe try a system reboot by di...

Re: Starter Motor 2009 XC90
Be sure to disconnect the battery prior to working on the starter positive cable. Also inspect the starter cable terminal end to be sure the insulation is intact and cannot come into contact with the solenoid case where the cable and terminal bend around it. There should be a rubber boot that will c...

Same exact list?
I didn't see the original post, but if I had; I would have suggested re-booting. Disconnect battery for a few and reconnect. Always my go-to for disassociated mystery faults reported by the onboard system.
