1/2 inch works if you have an early-style tensioner where the hole is part of the upper lip, not in the center of the pivot. However, I think those are only found in '93 models.

I think it may be a typo on FCP's part. The exact same item number, Wahler 271664, is listed as 92 °C at FCP and 90 °C at eEuroparts.

Does the harness still fit the switch? If so, and there's no additional wire going to the spare pin, I'd expect it to be okay.

Does your instrument cluster light up like it should when the headlights are on? If not, try sliding the lighting intensity control (over the rear fog light switch) back and forth several times. The contacts inside the slider might be dodgy.

If the doors are working, it's also possible that the tweeter magnets in the shelf speakers have fallen off and gotten sucked into the main cone - after which neither part works too well! '93s, '94s, and early '95s have codes that can be read directly from the diagnostic module a few inches behind the passenger headlight - no additional accessories required. Most engine codes are read from socket A2.
