Yeah, if I'm going to fix it, it won't be at the dealer because of the cost. An engine replacement would be even more expensive than the $7.8K, which is basically to replace the pieces that crashed into each other, some of the cylinders and valves

Engine crash
So my 2012 S60 with 93K miles just an engine crash -- serpentine belt broke and apparently got sucked into the timing belt, which caused the valves and cylinders to crash. Dealers says that it would cost $7,800 to repair, Volvo only willing to "contribute" $2,000.
