Driveshaft and exhaust rubbing
Hello, some of you may of seen my last post. I basically was backing up and made a stupid mistake and hit a huge log and I did run over it. Anyways, after I hit the huge log and it shook the car violently there was a nails on chalkboard screeching noise coming from the rear end. Lots of people sugge...

Re: Loud metallic screeching from rear wheels
Thank you all for your input and help, took apart one of the rear wheels today and took off the caliper and rotor and thankfully when I spin the hub it doesn’t make any noise. But when I attach the rotor back on it still makes the noises. The parking brake system appeared to still be in tact and wor...

Re: Loud metallic screeching from rear wheels
More likely that the parking brake shoes delaminated from the hit and are just floating around inside the rotors inner drum. Wow that would actually really make sense, is there a chance I can put them back in place or are they totally shot and need to be replaced? I guess I’d have to look im assuming

Loud metallic screeching from rear wheels
Hello, I have a 2005 volvo xc90 t5 and its embarrassing to tell this story but I was backing out of my spot at the beach and they have the damn wooden logs as dividers for the parking lot and its the dead of night and I couldn't see them. I ran over one of them and it shook the car violently and in ...

small evap leak
Hey there, I got a check engine light code p0456 for a small evap leak. I read about it and some common things were the fuel cap and the canister purge valve. I bought a new canister purge valve and the problem persisted so I bought a new seal for my gas cap, not a new cap just a new seal. The new s...

Resonator leaking
Hey there, I bought a 2005 volvo xc90 for $900, it has 220k miles but runs pretty good. I bought it for that price because of the miles ofcourse and it needed some work like brakes and tires. After I did that I brought it into the shop to be inspected and the resonator was rusted apart and leaked. M...

Deep metallic noise from accessory belt
When my 2005 volvo v50 is running theres a deep metallic noise from the serpentine belt. I'm guessing it's a bearing on one of the accessories or something and I'd have to look a little further into it. Tomorrow I may try and take the belt off and spin all the pulleys and find the source of the nois...

Airbag light s60 2005
Hello there, I’ve had some odd issues with my 2005 Volvo S60 involving airbag lights. One night I was driving and one by one every light in my gauge cluster went out until I was sitting in darkness and had no idea how fast I was going and rpms, engine temp, ect. All the sudden a minute later they al...

05 s60 p0171
Hi there, I got a check engine light today in my 2005 Volvo S60. It was code p0171. After doing some research it is apparently running lean. Some backstory to my vehicle, I bought it for $450 a couple weeks ago because it had a cracked oil pan. I used some high temp jb weld and it's held great no le...

Re: Vacuum Leak 2000 Volvo S70
If it's a non turbo that mileage should be closer to 30 mpg. I think the 2000 shares the vacuum diagram with the 1999, but there should be a sticker under the hood showing it all Replace everything It's the non turbo, the owner actually saved the paper that was inside the window of the car when it ...
