99 s70 Topic is solved
99 s70
I have a 99 s70 that I had to rebuild the fuel system for. It was running good other than something weird with the climate control. One day it turned it off and it would not run. It will crank and run for about 1 good rev then no fire. I pulled the spark plugs and visibility watched the fire start then stop.I can turn the key completely off and crank it again, 1 full rev then dead. If I crank again without turning key completely off, then no spark at all. I've replaced the cam position sensor, crank position sensor, and antenna ring. What am I missing. I read posts about bad abs or faulty key but I only have 1 key and no way to test the abs module. Please help.

Check out the antenna ring, could be codes stored, likely need VIDA to pull them.
Get another key made once you get that fixed, as otherwise you're looking at an expensive tow to get one made.

If it cranks , fires, then runs for one second , then quits, the key is no longer sending good data to the ECU
Key lost synchronization
Antenna ring
Unlikely
Immobilizer box
ECU
There is no workaround for an unsynched key. The car has to be presented to VIDA with a live internet connection to the Volvo server
Total tech in San Jose can also help
