I am now very wary buying any mission critical parts from Rock Auto on Wholesaler closeout. I have received both used and wrong parts and they didn't want to know. Living in Canada the cost of returning is often more than the part itself.

The 'Famous Brand' name is a total lottery. You have no idea what is in the box. Apparently a lot of parts they have using that name are Car Quest just now, but again you have no idea what you are really getting.

Several of you will know the issue with the Reman Nugeon P2 calipers I bought. 3 were repackaged and labelled over Cardone parts. They were complete junk with pistons found at the bottom of the ocean. Cheap paint, pot metal sliders and the caliper brackets were junk.

I'm ok buying some value branded parts for my Pay-it-Forward program for stuff like air filters and the likes.

Her car is going to need rear wheel bearings at some point. Might as well save a little bit. Got a couple Moog ones.

There are some pretty sketchy parts at RA but the value is there for some.

Watch those fitment charts. Those drive axles are not going to fit 1999 at all despite the years listed. That’s the transition for m22 nut to m8 bolt for axle holding
