95 na engine rebuild question

Hello my dudes, i'm currently in the process of rebuilding my N/A engine and i have a question

Should i put RTV on the surface between the upper block and midsection? i was insecure about that because the entire midsection acts as the crank bearing cap, and adding rtv there might alter the bearing gap
