Without knowing anything about your situation, I'd keep the '99 because it's much cheaper to keep running. I had an 850 and a V70 R at the same time, and the P2 car was more maintenance thirsty. Tires cost a little more. Insurance was more. MPG was a little less. Seats were equally comfortable, with the R seats having more side bolstering.

If you want to elaborate, I can probably be more help.

It's a thought. I guess less is more? I'm parcial to this car. May want to build it up. It's a stocker. I'm an old hot rodder from way back. Had everything from 9 second chevelles to mitsubishi evos,Grand nationals, and Typhoons. For some starnge reason I enjoy the volvo alot. It's package intrigues me. I always liked the P1 chassis. I'm thinking about building it up via suspension and a better tune. I just dont want to ruin it's wolf in sheeps clothing persona. I enjoy that the most.

I had a 1991 Dodge spirit RT (Lotus Head 2.2 ) that could pull 13.50s. My Grand National could run 12.80s with just a Chip,Dump pipe and ram air. My evo had 404 awhp and ran 11.70-11.80s I know my P1 is old now but there's something about it that makes me want to see it's ultimate potential. I just dont have the $$$ I used to but will soon, so I must think things out.

Leave it alone or tweak it? Im on the fence.

Keep the 99. It's WAY more of a drivers car than the P2 models. I haven't driven one of the newer R's, but the 04 V70 feels like a boat in comparison.
