Does anyone know why my passenger side temperature dial no longer changes the passenger side from hot to cool?
Occasionally, it will "reset" after a few drive cycles but it doesn't seem to be happening at any specific point.

I did a short write up on how to diagnose, remove and clean up a damper motor. You could also just remove and replace a bad damper with a new/used one. Cleaning up the old damper and reinstalling it fixed my problem with lack of temperature control in the ECC on my '97 855 GLT:
