Hello all,
I have an XC90 AWD 2.4 diesel 163 Cv( year 2003) purchased second hand three years ago and the car has been working fine, including the Haldex AWD system
As I occasionally do some complicated all terrain driving, I really need the Haldex system to keep working well
My question is: can you tell me what kind of service the Haldex (version 2 I think ) needs and what are the time/distance intervals ?
Thank you beforehand

Couple folks I know swap at 50k miles, I'm 80k or somewhere after and usually combined with another job. I "think" a 2003 is a GEN3, if you do fluid then do a new filter. You can tell if the Haldex has ever been serviced by the cover, if flat steel then nobody likely ever touched it. New filters come with a replacement aluminum finned cover. Filter cover screws are a PITA, I used a cut-down hex on a mini-wrench to get them in the '05.
Good write-up on fluids in general, might be good to plan to do them all: viewtopic.php?p=332769#p332769 . This is from a 2005, if you find any variation, go look on the internet- there's lots of information out ther on how to do this..
Me, I would change out all the fluids to get a baseline, maybe do a drain/fill on the transmission (AW55?) if it's from 2003. I'm okay with anyone who disagrees with my suggestion for changing fluids at this late stage but IMO it seldom does more harm than good.

Same opinion here — just change all the fluids.
