Oil change intervals?

What is your oil/filter change interval. I use mobil1 and do it every 4k.

2002 V70 2.4 N/A 134k - Mahle, Amsoil 5w40, wife does not drive it much, last time changed after 4k miles/10 months.

2005 XC70 2.5T 111k - Mahle, Amsoil 5w30 Signature, every 7.5k miles/3..4 months.

Thinking I should be using the Mahle filters, been using them in my E30 for years.

2004 s60 t5 155k- Mobile 1 sny 10w30 every 15k miles with a extra filter change at 7.5k and top it off. Switching over to amsoil 25k next oil change.

Have you checked VVT solenoids, how clean they are?

Amsoil has 25k for "normal conditions", defined by a long list of what is considered abnormal. Turbo is in this list, thus oil change interval is 15k (or 1 year).

I've sent 5w30 Signature couple of times for analysis, at 7.5k on XC70 the oil has a bit low TBN, indicating that the oil needed to be changed soon.

No I haven't checked the VVT solenoid, thanks for the info.
